I need your opinion!!!

When I saw the photo on the right I immediately thought that it was Gregor Mendel but the caption said: Eugenio Barsanti.
I think both pictures are of the same person: Gregor Mendel, the catholic father of genetics.

It seems like pictures of Barsanti are often mistakenly used for Mendel and vice versa they are very alike but this is Mendel

Well if Wikipedia is correct that is Gregor Mendel Eugenio barsanti was an engineer and don't even look like that.😉

Wikipedia got it right. But the Italian information site: on their page dedicated to the inventor of the internal combustion engine: Eugenio Barsanti [informagiovani-italia.com] used Mendel's portrait.

@PontifexMarximus yeah I saw that he was involved with the internal combustion engine I try to use mine as little as possible. 😉
