So far I have also been accused of shooting a dog, with what I don't know since I do not even own a gun. It was revealed when they took it to the vet that this animal was bitten and not shot. No apologies. I have had the Sheriff, ( who goes to their church) stop me for no reason other than some BS and had nothing to even write me up a warning over, and then he shows up pat my place telling me that I should fix/maintain the neighbors fence, and a lot of other BS. I told him what the laws were and told him to go look at my nice well maintained fence on my end. I am documenting every instance of this harassment.

@misstuffy tough when even the law is against you. In my case I had the police on my side which helped a lot.

@Moravian this sheriffs deputy goes to Church with them and is buddies with them. Down here the law and the government are crooked. Case in point, a neighbor had purchased some farm machinery from another neighbor and that neighbor, the seller died. despite having witnesses whom the seller had told he had sold said equipment to the other neighbor, bank loans, receipts, he still almost went to jail, lost the machinery he had purchased and was threatened and almost went to prison for stealing machinery he had bought and paid for.

@Moravian I am to the point where I want to move. I have a house in the city I need to rehab and I can see a recession coming so I am considering selling off most of my livestock and taking a job n the city while I regroup and get away from them. I do know if we get into a recession as bad as the last one they may not survive it. While my place is paid for none of my new neighbors are and they are all heavily mortgaged. I can weather the coming storm but I doubt they can.

@misstuffy If I were you I would cut my losses. sell up and move. You can always buy a small farm in a more amenable part of the country in the future.

Yeah I don't have the funds to build a pond anywhere and I already have one on the farm. I am a poor girl. My only income is my livestock and I have been here nearly 30 years, most of which I have gotten along really well with all my neighbors until I got new neighbors intent on forcing me out. They want this farm. IF/When I do sell it, it will be to someone else and not them. If I ever win the lottery I intend to turn it into an Atheist retreat complete with celebrity speakers on a nice loud PA system! I am not going to do anything to them but I did point out the absurdity of their claims.
