So let me get this straight.
The head of state of the UK is the queen, obtained via birthright ie not democratic.
Boris Johnson is the unelected PM ie not democratic.
Together, the head of state and PM have suspended parliment ie not democratic.
Corbyn, the opposition leader, is constantly accused of communist sympathies and being Putins puppet wants parliment to continue ie democracy.
Trump, also accused of being Putins puppet, supports Boris who is pushing Trumps ideology ie stuff democracy and bypass/ suspend parliment ie undemocratic.
And the funny thing is, Putin will get the blame when Brexit goes to shit because Boris will become Trumps puppet and therefore Putins puppet.

I just can't at the moment BoJo is a corrupt nasty human being and he is NOT my leader. I did not vote Tory, I certainly didn't vote for Brexit and believe very strongly that it will be an unmmitigated disaster. I just urge all the Brits to sign the petition.

The queen is head of a monarchy, generally accepted by the people - democratically accepted
Johnson is head of the party which won the lst election - democratically elected
Parliament is suspended next week, prior to delivery of the Queens speech - democratic process
Corbyn ... wants an election, and will, eventually, get one - democratic
Putin - probably pissing himself with laughter, but irrelevant
Trump - just wants anything that will divert home attention and make him look 'like a leader'
Democracy in the UK died when over 200 members of parliament looked down on their electoral constituents said 'fuck you' and started trying to stop brexit
I did not vote to leave, or stay, in the referendum ... nut the vote was to leave .. and Johnson is using parliamentary tactics to achieve that.
How it will all turn out - I really do not care ... the sun will still rise in the mornings, food will still grow,.... and politicians of all denominations, will still snuffle at the trough

Yes, that sums it up fairly accurately. What we have just experienced is, in all regards, effectively a coup and it could be argued that Britain is no longer a democratic nation.

@OwlInASack Agreed. For me the defining point was the mysterious death of John Smith in the bath and opening the door for Blair.
That was the death knell for the democratic process in UK along with the adjusted Clause 4 of the Labour Party constitution breaking from much of the party’s history and raison d’être.
Then rebranding. New Labour. Clues in the name!
I've always maintained, and will to my dying day, that the world will be a better place when each and every monarch and thier royal families are lined up against the wall and shot.
But anyways, seems pretty undemocratic to me. Also sounds way to typical of asshats in power trying to force what they want on everyone else, damn the consequences.
