I don't even bother posting about gun violence on Facebook anymore, it always winds up in the same arguments, and neither side wants to compromise. It may be sad to say, but I gave up on that one. Washington State has passed a number of bills toward some restrictions, and so far, the states are were the action is - the problem is a lack of consistency of the laws between the states, which is why we need federal restrictions/regulations to level the playing field, but that won't happen until Congress is overhauled.
In the meantime, when there is a mass shooting, I usually post the song "Strangers Die Everyday" by Butthole Surfers...
Sometimes those FB posts are so ignorant that you just can't scroll by.
I, too, occasionally get into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent. Rarely ends on a positive note, but some statements can't go unchallenged.
I mean, I'm not some social media warrior...but after several minutes of scrolling through ignorance I gotta say something.
I must admit though, selective trolling csn be satisfying...
How many church shootings bible boy ???? FUCK that rapist bible that "rips open the bellies of pregnant women dash the little ones against the stones let not anyone live but keep the virgins for yourselves " 2nd Kings 15:16 Amos 1:11 Hosea 13:16 SECOND KINGS 8:12
I would not be surprised if many of them got up in the morning and prayed to God for the strength to go out and kill people. You would never hear about it, because the mainstream news would not report it out of fear of offending their Christian viewers. Of course, if it was a Muslim who killed people, they would be all over their religious background.
And I suppose he is right in that context......
