Drove one of them for years. Now I can walk, and retired it.

@EdEarl I can walk & have had 2 hip replacements, but have arthritis in my feet so don't walk far. I use a stationary bike for exercise as well as the stairs in the house. I use the scooter to get to & from town.

@ToolGuy As long as the plowing is done, thay aren't too bad. I just drive very slowly on snow or ice, & I've been fine with it. Anything too deep is not a good idea, but I can always manage to get my groceries. I don't go out if its too cold as it creates its own breeze while driving & the face & hands can get bad.The batteries in my current scooter are rated for -30C., but I don't go out in anything more than -15C. tops, & then only for short trips.

I have come home with some odd things....for one....a 6 ft. ladder for my husband who also doesn't drive due to a stroke ruining his peripheral vision. I have short legs, so just put it crossways on the scooter floor & stayed in the center of the sidewalk to go home. We're in a small city so didn't have many other pedestrains to contend with.

This compares with current H2 production costs of around $2/kilo. Around 5% of the H2 produced then powers the oxygen production plant, so the system more than pays for itself."

If my calculations are correct, a kilo of H2 is about the same mass/weight as 1.4 liters of gasoline. Gasoline contains more energy per mass than hydrogen. In other words, a liter of gas moves a car further than a liter of hydrogen. Moreover, storing hydrogen as liquid requires either a heavy pressure tank or cryogenic temperature. Coupled with $2 cost per 1.4 liter, and higher pump prices, it seem unlikely hydrogen will ever be used as a transportation fuel. The cost of electricity per mile in a Tesla is perhaps a quarter of costs to run an ICE car. Hydrogen for fuel is the oil industry's gasping for survival.

@ToolGuy Time will tell. IDK what lithium mining sites ar like, but the worlds largest reserves, in Bolivia, has no trees. We will see about recycling. Everything we do has an environmental cost; we must work to minimize them.
