Just looking for rational friends.
I don't get enough rationality at home.
I've tried everything: calmness exercises, meditation, yoga even Socratic method.
Yet here I sit with a rationality deficit.
Are there in fact any truly reasonable, happy, rational, science-based people in southern Michigan? 🧐

You might have to search Meetup groups for either Science minded folks or Atheists. (Than cull down the more rational thinkers from there).

Fortunately I've run high to people who were engineering minded in my life - they tend to be rational thinkers.

It's often finding your group - and than the ones who suit you best. But I'm sure you know that.

Happy hunting!

Are you taking a poll? Reach out in your home and community but you must say what you want and not expect the world to lay at your feet what you desire. Nothing worth having comes easy.

Hey good advice. that would be the purpose behind this post as a first attempt.

the way i worded it was perhaps a poor attempt at humor 🙂

nothing in my immediate area

@Berzerkershaman Then sadly it looks like you will have to keep looking. Good Luck.

I don’t know anything about South Michigan but of all the other places in the world I have been there don’t seem to be so, but that token, I suspect the odds are pretty slim!

Of course there are reasonable, happy, rational, science-based people in southern Michigan.

I grew up on Long Lake in Commerce Township, Michigan. There are hundreds of reasonable, rational, science-based people there. It's 45 miles northwest of Detroit.

My father was a professional jazz trumpet player from age 14- he lied about his age to get in the Musician's Union- until he died of cancer at 51.

My family of six, left-handed musicians, including me, were all atheists, intelligent and well-educated. Our friends were, too.
