There are plenty of reasons for authority to exist. Having been a parent, it was necessary. Authority is usually designated carefully, not just anyone gets to ‘be a general.’
It’s how authority is determined and administered that we must keep an eye on. Otherwise, though I resented them at the time … my school principals were generally right in their assessment of our behavior and the appropriate punishment..
