Serendipity? I don't know what else to call this.

Back in the middle 80's I did wedding photography for several friend's weddings. I took a shot of a single climbing rose. It's divided on the diagonal into light and dark. There is a man in the background on the dark side. He is so well hidden in the background I have to show people where he is but once you see him, you always see him. I lost contact with the man in the background a good 30 years ago.

I had also taken the photos at the wedding of the man in the background of the rose pic a few months earlier.

He passed away about 5 years or so ago. Just recently I made contact with his oldest daughter and I found out she has a younger sister.

This is the serendipitous part. Back in the 80's I had 3 11 x 14 inch prints made of the rose pic. I framed one and it has hung on my wall since then. The other two prints are in the envelope they came in.

I get to give each of his daughters one of the rose prints!!!
