I wouldn't dignify him with the term evil; that would give evil people a bad name. He's a garden-variety malignant narcissist sociopathic grifter. Also, he's lazy, undisciplined, uninformed and incompetent at anything other than grifting. That he's managed to rise to the presidency says, in my view, way more about what we've become as a country than it does about Trump. The villians in this sad story are Moscow Mitch and the GOP. The Donald is just a useful fool for them.

It would be wrong, too, not to finger the Democratic Party, particularly its corporatist, elitist wing, that ceded the power vacuum for the GOP to step into.

Finally, the apathy of voters who mostly don't vote.
