The same reason Democrats continue to support criminals neither blueREDS nor redBLUES want lawful leaders they want leaders who preach to the choir

Please read the article. It’s a bit more complicated ...

@Justjoni I read both long articles and the bias of both Atlantic writers is pathetic.....4 people profiteering in Ukraine specifically ok with that 2 Republicans and 2 Democrats....Manafort equated with TrumpOLINI is the sick bias ....BILLARY SELLING URANIUM to Ukraine OBVIOUSLY ignored.....my point remains corruption is epidemic in both blueREDS redBLUES duopoly rule
.....only Green Party since 1996 has offered honest legal leadership

That depressed me.

"Attempting to use one’s official powers for private gain is the most basic definition of corruption. Yet because the base of the Republican Party believes itself to be the only legitimate expression of popular will, whether or not its members constitute an actual majority of the electorate, it does not matter what Trump’s motives are."

In a nutshell

think about this: What is freedom and what does it mean? For Trump freedom is the ability to make money, profit from his actions. Freedom for the Republican party is the making of money for their constituents, being those that pay them for voting for what they want. Freedom = Money
