Hello from Oktoberfest!!

Second stop of our week away - Munich for the beer festival to end all beer festivals!! There's a word here that doesn't have quite a direct translation - 'Gemütlichkeit' - that means a feeling of warmth, friendliness, and good cheer. We've found it everywhere!

was there for an oktoberfest in the early 80s. i was impressed by the waitresses who carried as many as 5 of those big steins in each hand.

A village around here had their Oktoberfest 2 weeks ago. Yes, Oktoberfest in September. 😐

Nothing like being ahead of the crowd!

I think it started here two weeks, but we couldn't make it until the 30th 😉

I live near a small tourist town known as Alpine Helen. We have a festival this time of year. It runs from the 2nd week of September to the 2nd week of November. The locals call this festival 'Notsoberfest".
Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time. Enjoy.
