Nice looking, no ravages of the wars he fought, no effects of the battles? He looks like a nice actor nicely painted as Washington waiting in the wings just enter the stage in a super glorified play in a white people's theater somewhere.

Checked out by friend who did check it forgot include his sources but did see them

@bobwjr
Was just wondering how it was made - photo of wax figure, or computer generated image, etc.

@skado combining features of the many portraits of him then computer generated

@bobwjr
Thanks.

@skado there was a good description of this but didn't copy over

He fought for what? Just so tRump can tear it to pieces?!!!!!

To continue the ownership of slaves and further the cause of white Protestant males superiority.

@Sofabeast actually had slaves freed on his death, refused greater power

@bobwjr Yes, been studying US history and politics. A lot of dirt in his personal life. I suspect he had PTSD. Which is much overlooked throughout history in key figures who have seen battle. Ney's breakdown at Waterloo for example.
Now would George approve of Trump? I consider that unlikely. I think the only POTUS who would like him would be Andrew Jackson, but then he too was emensley flawed.

@Sofabeast very few were clean in that time period, but he did try to do right by the country

@bobwjr At least you have a written constitution - wish we had one! What wemust not do, is try the past by the standards of present.
Anyway, great likeness.

@Sofabeast Not just for Protestants.

“Washington often emphasized that religious liberty was not just a blessing, but a right.25 He wrote to the United Baptist Churches of Virginia in May of 1789,

...no one would be more zealous than myself to establish effectual barriers against the horrors of spiritual tyranny, and every species of religious persecution—For you, doubtless, remember that I have often expressed my sentiment, that every man, conducting himself as a good citizen, and being accountable to God alone for his religious opinions, ought to be protected in worshipping the Deity according to the dictates of his own conscience.26”

I don’t think the revolutionary cause had anything to do with slavery. The goal was to establish an independent country.
