Anyone see The Joker? Just watched tonight, I can't stop thinking about it. I came away impressed at how nuanced the director was at having Joaquin Phoenix walk the line almost exactly between hero and villian. Hard to watch at times, but I'm so glad i did

Honestly not interested. This recent trend of "villain protagonist" origin shows ("Hannibal" for instance), as well executed as they might be, just leave me cold.

I would like to. Playing right down the street from me. Was not sure it was worth it but everyone seems to be moved by it.

Saw it with my kids yesterday. We all thought it was great. Phoenix is fantastic. And yes the line the director walked between hero and villain was fascinating. The end of the movie, however, does make it clear which side he embraces.

I don't think I've seen a film that is this divisive in quite a long time. People and critics either loved it or absolutely hated it. Some would tell you that's a sign of a great piece of art.
