I have anxiety issues about going out now due to previous grief...it takes me 2 or 3 days to work myself up to be able to go out....but when I am out I am fine and feel normal and think the issue is over...but sadly not...I buy everything online and get it delivered straight to my door so I do not have to visit shops...I just crave normality ..do not think this is going to happen ...I Have breathing issues and went to the doctor eventually and even went for lung xrays but have not been back to find diagnosis as cannot summon the courage to go out yet..Oh and yes we are all going to die sometime...

The breathing issues themselves can be causing what you are feeling.
I have friends with breathing issues and this is common. Please revisit your Doctor! I know it's hard - but it's really the most likely contributing factor. (At least phone to see if the test results showed anything).

After that consider therapy and medication. I know that would be difficult too - but it might well be worth it to get your enjoyment of going out back.

Perhaps you need to speak to a counselor or therapist. Agoraphobia can happen with anxiety or trauma, and grief can cause that as well. As someone who's struggled with this at one time, I can tell you it's possible to manage and overcome it.

Go back to the doctor and get that diagnosis.

Grief is not quickly cured, nor does it ever completely leave you and it has many symptoms. The best thing however is just that, getting out there and living so this phobia is not helping you. Therefore you need to take this phobia seriously and get help, don't think that it is something to put off and it will come right, talk to your doctor about it asap and make it plain that this is affecting you badly. Sorry to sound tough, but sometimes that is the only way I know to help.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and suffer from this myself.

Anti anxiety medication and exposure therapy as well as other therapy. This is debilitating and only gets worse.
