Trump asked Tillerson to get DOJ to drop case against Giuliani client in 2017: report

President Donald Trump asked then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to persuade the Justice Department to drop charges against a client of Rudy Giuliani in 2017, according to a report by Bloomberg News late Wednesday. The client, Iranian-Turkish gold trader Reza Zarrab, was being prosecuted for violating U.S. sanctions against Iran, and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had sought his release. Tillerson refused to intervene, Bloomberg reported, saying it would be illegal interference in a prosecution. Tillerson reportedly complained to then-White House chief of staff John Kelly, and the Justice Department apparently never considered dropping the charges. The report is likely to fuel criticism of Trump's dealings with Erdogan and other autocrats, and adds to a number of serious allegations of improper conduct and potentially impeachable offenses.

This is the first "smoking gun" I have seen of TrumpOLINI crimes through Tillerson via Giuliani and that is in the realm of high crimes and misdemeanors required by the CONSTITUTION.... however, Nixon was impeached for erasing tapes of evidence he knew about ACCOMPLISHED crimes....not conspiracy....as long as Tillerson and Giuliani tell the truth and the clients are convicted TrumpOLINI still runs his mouth for free

His order to withdraw all our forces and leave the Kurds hanging isn't sitting well with the military.
Maybe that's going to be what ends him.

I won't even consider it until after 45 is gone.

Tillerson kept quiet, John Kelly says and does nothing. WAY too many in the WH circle of knowledge kept quiet, how patriotic is that? What are both these men doing today? It's a rhetorical question, to know would probably piss me off.

@KKGator I agree TrumpOLINI has been getting away with bribes and fraudulent business practices for decades .. .only more visibly now in the White House.....sadly most blueREDS and redBLUES duopoly incumbents do the same thing less visibly.....the swamp is deeper and zero people are draining it ......just a handful of gators are under the spotlight now ....if we can make purses and shoes out of 537 hides the swamp will be safer to wade in
