Does anyone remember the time when the President of the United States commanded respect and even admiration?
Clinton, charming, handsome probably the smartest, intellectually of all our presidents and morally corrupt, power hungry, FDR, smart and big picture thinking, Lincoln outstanding thinker, Obama, thoughtful and careful. So admiring, I admire Obama for grace under intense pressure. The others I would respect for their work but admire I don't know.
Oh, and Al Gore, if only Americans could rise up to the challenge of knowing how to choose a president.
That command of respect came and went, depending on the president.
Ever being laughed at at the U.N.?
