There is no climate emergency
“A global network of 500 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggera- tions in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassion- ately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation.”

well ... there is and there isn't. It IS true that our climate is changing and it IS true that human CO2 production is speeding up that process. the right is banking on our lack of knowledge about the specifics to save themselves money and effort. we also know that the climate changes in periods and has so throughout earth's history. the fact we cannot isolate causation down to naturally occurring and man-made is the huge disparity leading to this impasse. But, logically, I find the denial to be extremely myopic given what is at stake. We have to understand that the life-cycle the earth operates on is wholly different from that experienced by humans. we may not actually be due this warm-up for another 45,000 years and making it come early could actually wipe out the human race (among other species) while if it happened later we might be less vulnerable or not even around. the point is we should err on the side of safety and we're not doing that if we continue on this course.

I am always suspect of the science when so much money is being made (the global cap and trade market is worth hundreds of billions), and when so much power is at stake. And I also think most scientists realize they would be out of grant money if they didn't find that the sky was falling. I also have to consider that, so far, even the most conservative climate change models have proven to be wildly inaccurate - they're too chock full of unsubstantiated assumptions (oh, and there's a lot of p-hacking going on, too).

anyone who bought into the global warming alarmism & is capable of unbiased thinking would have to reconsider after reading the above.
as like religious nut-cases, few will.

Good for you!!!
I have been saying for a long time that it is a hoax. Washington is a cesspool of corruption and they need a distraction.
