How come some people on this site talk about worshipping the devil. Surely if you don’t believe in a “god,” you don’t believe in a “devil” ... or is it a joke? Asking for a friend.

I do not worship the devil but I do consider myself a LaVeyan satanist. The easiest description is a self centered non humanist atheist.

There are some here, that drifted to the "opposition" before they came to atheism/ agnosticism. There is a group called the "Satanic Temple" they have formed a "church" populated by atheist/agnostics and they use the exemptions available in our system to defend free speech and combat faith based legal encroachments on civic and private liberty.
So it is only part joke, as it were.

Many Christians claim that not being a Christian means you are Satanic, and that non believers are only claiming to be atheist as (to them) there is no such thing as an atheist.
Hence all atheist are devil worshipers since they are doing the devils work by drawing worship away from Christ.
The technical term is "Bollocks"

I don’t think they are, or I haven’t come across them anyway. Perhaps you are referring to Satanism which is a totally different idea.
