Trump has a Base that will vote for him no matter what happens. The Dems are easily split as Burnie did in 2016 and as others have in the past... Trump does not need 51% to win if he can split the Dems and take away 10% of the voters. That's what he did with foreign help and social media and that's how we got in this mess !!!!

I was so annoyed with a friend who voted Stein last election.
The room was full of police chiefs that were cheering Trump!

There certainly was cheering and clapping but it was interesting that no one could see the audience to actually witness how many were silent. The Chicago police chief boycotted, the Aurora police chief that was in attendance gave an interview afterward. She was one of the ones who was not cheering. Just saying.

@gater I agree that is generally true that police a military generally like him (though I suspect he is losing some ground with the military). They like all that authoritarian stuff.
Still, we have no idea what percentage of the crowd of police chiefs cheered him.

"In his budget announcement, Trump said the 3.1 percent increase was “the largest increase in a decade." According to the Pentagon’s records, service members received a 3.9 percent pay increase in 2009 and a 3.4 percent increase in 2010. The size of each year’s raise is linked to private sector wages, as measured by the Employment Cost Index."

Well, some of the convention cheered. Wound't be surprised if most did, but, according to the Aurora Police Chief, not all did. We only heard the audience but never saw them.
They booed him at the World Series also! But still way too many people buy in to his bullshit.
