I am pleased about how things are developing with Trump in the past couple of days. Trump is afraid of the effects of open House hearings about his illegal conduct -- and should be. The new book, A WARNING, will eat substantially into his support. Coal miners in Kentucky turned against him and the Republican party as they are realizing that Trump has not (and cannot do) a damned things to help him. Farmers are beginning to turn against him, realizing how much they have been hurt by Trump's idiotic tariff war. Now he is planning to go to Moscow and attend the Russian May Day parade.

Give the Idiot another month or two and his support will be down to the low 30s and he we be un-electable Then I would not be surprised to see him portray himself as the ultimate victim and resign. And, the idiot is doing it all to himself.

I want Trump in jail but so far he has proven to be Teflon President or the Houdini of American Politics. Nothing has touched him..... Russia collusion, the Muller report, the bimbo explosions, appointing children the high White House positions, White House officials using Trump hotels for business, he using courts to stonewall everything against him, threatening voters, reporters, and now the whistleblower.... Any president would have gone down in a matter of days with any of this or all of this. Barack Obama would be a disgraced president within 6 months in office. The Republicans would not be passive like the Democrats are.

I want Trump in jail, too. Once we get the mental and moral idiot out of office, it will be e asy to accomplish that. The fool has a life-long trail of corruption.

@wordywalt
While we blame, blast, hate, cuss Trump every day, we should ask ourselves if our leaders have served us well or they have been pussies.

@Sealybobo
Agreed. We are not debating if Trump did wrong. Can we impeach him fully - including in the Senate? The answer is No. Can we stop him from being re-elected? The answer is also No. Is he very likely to get re-elected in 2020? The answer sadly is Yes.

@Sealybobo
These are the undeniable facts:

  1. We cannot remove him from office
  2. It will just fire up his base more, turn off independents, moderates and make it easier for Trump to capitalize on the Democrats' political vendetta. His political contributions are already surging. He knows how to spin it very well. Another MoveOn.org will be born.

We are just making it easier to get him re-elected.

@Sealybobo
We have what we have. Why people don't vote. voter suppression etc. are mute points because nobody is going to solve these problems any time soon. I think Trump will re-elected in 2020 because no Democratic candidate is strong enough t face Trump and Trump will have nearly a Billion of cash in hand to demolish the opposition. Do Democrats have the power to stop 2020 Russian infiltration into the elections? If the answer is no, Trump will be re-elected.

@Sealybobo
You are ignoring a fact of 2016. Trump won because a lot of moderates and independents voted for Trump. They are the most unpredictable voter group.

@Sealybobo
Democrats cannot remove him from office because we do not have the numbers.

@Sealybobo
Why Trump or not Trump? What is an independent then? Why I cannot watch and decide what is the right thing to do regardless of the party label or accusations?

@Sealybobo
The fact is Trump won with all the ranting BS, all impoliteness, all lack of manners, rudeness and everything bad under the Sun. And the righteous Hillary lost in 2016.

Righteous does not win in Washington. Maneuvering, experienced players, who has the money and numbers and game playing wins in Washington.

What Trump did and whether he should be impeached is a mute point. Most of the nation thinks he is immoral and a liar. In spite of that they are supporting him and the poll numbers show Trump is still a tough man to beat in 2020.

There are at least 200 Congress members who should be impeached and thrown in jail on both sides. They should not even be serving for 20, 30 and 40 years like Biden and Bernie did.

@Sealybobo
Again, we are not discussing righteousness. We are discussing the facts on the ground. I am pragmatic. I see what it looks like to me on the ground. Currently, Democrats are weak.

When did Washington care about the right and wrong? Do you thing they cared about you?

@Sealybobo
Debate why moderates and independents supported Trump in 2016 all you want.

@Sealybobo
Sorry, I was away. I enjoyed. My profile says I like robust discussions 🙂 I try not to be biased. I am a moderate and like to see things as they as and not what they should be, hardly driven by emotions.

@Sealybobo As it is reported independents and moderates supported Trump for two primary reasons:

  1. Yes, to clean up Washington and get something done after decades of government shut downs, bickering, infighting between two parties
  2. A turn off at Hillary and his hiding the 20,000 e-mails. Trump played that well. He found it and showed American people that it wasn't hard to find as Hillary contended.

@Sealybobo
So if the other guy is worse, our bad is not bad? Trump was very bad, so we should have voted for Hillary?

@Sealybobo That is not what many Democrats thought when they did not vote for Hillary in 2016.

@Sealybobo You can defend Hillary all you want until the cows come home but the facts on the ground were different. She lost big time. A big let down to Democrats. She delivered victory to Donald J Trump on a silver platter in 2016.

@Sealybobo Trump supporters are saying he has not done anything wrong. How are you different and right?

@Sealybobo We are just doing comments. But you end up writing an essay each time.

@Sealybobo The presidency and other Congressional offices are not about right or wrong. These are not courts of law. It is about winnability. That is why bad people get elected. It is the system we have. No matter how you want o argue righteousness, currently Trump looks like he will be re-elected.

This book report was given this morning on NPR (the station here is NWPB). The pot is starting to boil from the inside. It's really hard working for someone sooo mean, spiteful, clueless, narcissistic, arrogant and prone to fits. Sooner or later people, even in power, have had enough.

Already he's trying to out Anonymous. Maybe when he goes to Moscow, he will defect, and we will be well rid of him!
