Now...revisionism is one thing, right? Revisionism is (but of course not entirely so) basically just Applied Dishonesty, and it's a way to get rubes to stay on their posts, pens and sprawls so they can be fleeced for labor, money, agenda perpetuation and systemic perpetuation. Revisionism is one of those very basic ways that those in power maintain a social darwinist, authoritarian society meant for the survival of political factions and other bodies of power that really just leech reality dry for money, and other utilities.

But we can all agree to the spearhead of that argument, that dishonesty is unspeakably bad, and so bad that you'd have to be convinced that those who try to revise the truth are idiots.

But what about when people are revisionist about the rules of thinking, including reasoning-kinds of thinking?

That's basically the thinking behind hermeneutical thought process. Groupthink, emotional thinking, ought-thinking, instinct, and informational conformity are examples of this very idiotic propensity.
