We Are Veterans.

We became brothers and sisters. We had plenty of good and bad times. We didn’t get enough sleep. We smoked, drank, and got into fights. We worked hard, and partied/played even harder. We speak highly of our own branch of service, and poke fun at the other branches. But we know that if needed, we will be there for our brothers and sisters and stand together as one. Being a veteran is something that had to be earned and while it has no monetary value, it is a priceless gift. So from myself to the rest of the veterans out there, I commend and thank you for all that you have done and sacrificed for your country.

As a Navy brat, I appreciate this, and will read it to my mom next time we talk on the phone. Did you write this yourself, or get it from somewhere?

I little of both - I found something I liked and tweaked it.
