Ms Kshama Sawant, a grass roots progressive, wins council seat in Seattle, against GOP challenger financed by Jeff Bazos' $1.4M campaign fund donation.

Gubernatorial races won by Dems in KY & LA with Trump campaigning for the GOP candidates, plus Ms Sawant's win, suggests many Dems will be elected in 2020. What do you think?

I think the ‘Blue’ is spreading significantly! As it was just in limbo, anyway! Some people think they need to give everybody a fair shot...give ‘our leader a chance!’ That time is running down now!

It is spreading; I hope for a thoroughly defeated GOP and corporate dems.

I'm wondering why the fsck Bezos backed a Republican candidate.

Kshama means Ruth (in Sanskrit) but she led a fierce fight against the money and power in Seattle. Congratulations. More people like her are rising and daring to enter public life at local and state levels. I really hope there will be more Congresswomen and senators from the progressive side at all levels in 2020.

I hope so too. It would be awesome for a member here to win against the GOP at any level.

@EdEarl I hope we as voters on both sides start looking at candidates and vote in candidates that are individually good regardless of party labels. I would also love to have old and long time Congress members voted out after two terms.

@St-Sinner Voted out is too little punishment for those who deny climate change.

@EdEarl
Different issues have different priorities with voters. Illegal immigration, removing religion from politics, health care, economy and crime are all high importance issues. Climate change is not a high priority for everyone.

@St-Sinner Climate...the very thing that can take us all out!

@Freedompath Climate change is not a high priority for many. There are many other burning issues for people.
