@Grahame That’s a bit harsh from someone who has been here for five minutes. Jeff is one of the better educated individuals here. He and I have disagreed frequently but still have a mutual respect.

We agree more than we disagree, which is one of the finer aspects of this community.

Perhaps you could display some of your erudition before insulting others here.

@Geoffrey51 thats very nice of you fancy Jeff (I am a Jeff and I have 2 Geoffrey friends ... they are "fancy Jeff's" and I am "plain" ) and I give thanks. But it's not grahame's fault. I bring on those types of responses on myself for how I answer things. I am generally rather blunt and that's not socially acceptable. I do it for personal reasons so I should suffer the subsequent wrath. It's nice when someone has your back though and I appreciate it. thank you.

@Grahame if you would please read what I said above - I said Islam is a bad religion. Nothing you have said denies that or even really refers to it. I am a HINDU, not a christian, not an atheist, not a muslim. My comments were about theology - you can continue to argue the nuances of the sociology and history all you want and you'll hear little from me about them (except for the expulsion of the book of enoch that athansius commanded at the first council of Nicea). I agree with yuval harari about that stuff. My argument lies in the major problem with both of those abrahamic belief sets - they promote mysticism at the expense of human achievement and neglect growth. If you want to argue foreign policy then by all means engage. I am a sannyasin, however, so I have already denounced materialism and relations and ties and all of those things the buddhists claim to be "dukkah" and we vedics know as illusory.

@Grahame I never talked about judaism. I excluded it for a reason. as for all the other critiques either prove it to be bullshit or shut up. No, it's not different than what I was saying at all. I consider islam to be a bad religion. period. I was explaining why until you so rudely interrupted the train of thought with your ignorant and ill-informed commentary above.
