Can smokers & non-smokers coexist, or even date?

It depends on how long I've been dateless.

Not this non smoker, I'm allergic to tobacco.

I quit but women never seem to reek of smoke so it really never bothers me.

I could date smokers, back when I smoked. But I quit in 2014, and can't stand the smell of tobacco smoke. So, nope. I couldn't tolerate being around a smoker!

Depends on how much they like each other.

Depends. My husband smoked for some time but took it outside. I'm allergic so he couldn't do it in the house so we could manage. Much of the toxins stick around in the air and settle on furnishings and seep into the walls so in my case I end up having an asthma attack and serious headache even when nobody is smoking at the moment. What's worse is that I have no sense of smell so I can't even smell it and leave. I have had to pay very close attention to my own body responses and remove myself. I also react that way to heavy perfumes. I can't usually smell them but end up with that lovely hard-of-breathing and headache effect.

As a non smoker..it depends on how much they smoke daily.

As an ex long time smoker. I generally like smokers better. I don't want to start again though so I might hesitate to date one. I would start again if I was around someone on a regular basis who did it around me. I also wouldn't expect someone who I was around a lot to refrain in my presence. For me it is a bit of a dilemma.

Yes, quite easily. My wife smokes, I don’t and it’s been that way forever!
