At the G20 here is what the Chinese are saying...our adversaries should be taken seriously! Truth is anywhere we find it.

My problem here in America is that if I were to repeat this phrase "“The United States is broadly engaged in unilateralism and protectionism, and is damaging multilateralism and the multilateral trading system. It has already become the world’s biggest destabilizing factor,” China’s Foreign Ministry cited Wang as saying."

I would get mostly glazed looks from people who were lost in the terminology and have poor or incorrect ideas about the meanings of ( unilateralism, protectionism, multilateralism, and multilateral trading system ). Only among political junkies and collaged educated folks (for the most part), most working folks will react to these terms like your middle school class did to Shakespeare. Kind of hard to work up a majority when it has become a decided minority that sees the problem.

Wang Yi was talking to Stef Blok who relayed the conversation.

The statement was in the context of G20 and so was not made for an American audience to understand.

That is the job of the commentators!

@Geoffrey51 I understand who was speaking, I read the article.

My issue is "so was not made for an American audience to understand."
That ought not to be an issue, we ought not to need commentators to explain to us (and inevitably spin their own opinion). If the American audience cannot understand the issues the consequences are dire.

News is not News any longer, it starts as a news story (The train crashed) and then quickly moves to some panel of people who gives their thoughts on the train wreck.
Thanks anyway I can conemplate the wreck for myself.

@Davesnothere I agree, but it was not a media conversation, and Yi and Blok should not be held accountable for the failure of the media.

I

@Geoffrey51 I am not holding anyone responsible, just making a statement of fact.
And as far a XI goes, anytime the Communist Party of China wants to revoke its policy of remote drug warfare, I am game. As it stands the CP of China still holds this policy and is shipping the USA tons of Fentayl, which is so toxic it ought to be considered a chemical attack via trade.

This and the efforts of Russia and other actors are all aspects of UW (unconventional warfare).

[info.publicintelligence.net]

@Davesnothere The USA must be accepting it or it wouldn’t be shipped.

@Davesnothere I thought that Fentayl from China was being addressed and halted? It seems to me that no thought is given to what is destroying the ‘people’ in a society. Just undercut their notion of what promotes their health and well-being...give them more entertainment and ways to trip out, and when they are ‘lost,’ allow them to disappear, in their own minds or die! In some ways these are the most ignorant of times...worse than back in the dark ages...actually the ‘dark ages’ are exulted as the more ‘rigorous times!’ This is going to be difficult to bring into balance, from where I sit! It hurts to see people destroy themselves and the other side...pronouncing that it is all in the ‘lords’ hands!

@Freedompath Halted? Even if Xi syas that they are not doing it, it is communist party platform to use UW to attack the USA and others. Drug warfare is just one aspect.
"Just undercut their notion of what promotes their health and well-being" and most of all trust and notion od security.
Which is what Trump's Ukraine story, aboyt the Bidens is doind. It is a russian FSB story being repeated by the GOP who does not seem to get that destabelization is created by te erosion of trust, and by each "Party" calling the other treasonous, Putin gets his wish.

Putin and XI just held JOINT WAR EXERCISES.

Not much media about that was there?

I can’t seem to get it either... ‘A top Chinese official says US is world’s biggest source of instability.’ Statement made at the G20.
