I've seen a majority of the hearing today and I'm struck by the fact that the Democrats do not ask the Republican witness any questions about obstruction. Yes, there is a rule on cross-examination that you don't ask a question you don't know the answer to. However refusing to honor subpoenas, telling witnesses not to testify and intimidating witnesses are really not open for interpretation. It would make them look fairer by not ignoring the man and since any answer he would give other than obstruction would be ludicrous It could only help them.

Well I listened to the whole hearing today. There is much to assure impeachment should go through, but there is not one repub that has any real knowledge of any of the previous reports. If the Senate goes the same way we have to get ready for King Orange of Turd, and the rule of the unknowing over the rest of us. Thoughts?

I was also able to read a summary of the Supreme Court case the Republican witness cited as showing that the president's acts weren't bribery. Of course that case has nothing to do with the facts here.

I just heard one of the repubs tall us that we cannot impeach the pres as this would not allow us to vote for him in 2020. Really?

I think he is accusing that that is what the Democrats are trying to do. Eliminate Trump from the 2020 ballot. They have said this before but I maybe wrong here.

@St-Sinner pretty sure if he's impeached he could run in 2020, at least no law against it.

Assuming he isn't indicted for anything before then, of course.

I am reading online every hour knowing fully well that it is going to hurt Democrats badly. They just don't know it enough. If you want to hit someone, bring a iron smith's hammer, not goldsmith's. It don't do nothing. Growing up, I knew a saying.... "One iron smith's (hammer hits) is worth a thousand goldsmith's (hammer hits)"... (Sau Sonar Ki, Ek Lohar Ki).

I saw the Democrats lawyer witnesses spewed the pure hatred for Trump instead of sticking to the law. Commenting on his son Baron was unwarranted. It is spoiling our case, not helping.

My first reaction was that the Republicans seem to be living in an alternate reality. However, upon further reflection, they are just aggressive, surly and dishonest.
