Could not find where to post a suspicion of a fake profile, so I'm posting it here.

I received an email from a user calling himself darlingtont saying he liked my profile. Innocent enough; I agree. I asked him what it was in my profile that interested him. He replied that it was my "smile" and how my eyes light up. Guys, two of my pictures are cartoons/illustration and the other is me definitely NOT smiling.

He then went on and on about how he wasn't a troll and is for real. I just wanted to put this out there in case he contacts other they will be cautious. For me, I blocked him.

No big deal really. No one can cause you any harm, unless you share personal information, and/or send money - which is just damn dumb !

Otherwise, it can be fun to jerk them around a bit - turn the table on him. Say all kinds of crazy shit to keep him on the hook. Or not ...

I actually agree with you. My oldest son messes with Nigerian scammers all the time.

I posted this because some people don't see the obvious scam, and I wanted to warn them.

LOL better suited to General & Hellos rather than love and relationships XD

I debated on which one to put it in. Since he was trying to talk me into a relationship, I felt this was a better choice.

@kiramea There is a post within the last week. I think there was another group with similar function, but I don't know the name. Maybe that one is dormant.

I heard from him too and just ignored him. He said he liked my profile. There really isn't anything in my profile.

Anyway there is a scammers group to which you can report suspicious users.

Have you checked his profile and his he a actual
member.
If suspicions have yet of defence mechanisms
Make notes of details.

Dream, yes. Lie to me from the get go, hell no.

If he is unable to tell me what in my profile peaked his interest, I have nothing for him. Simple as that.

@kiramea You are right but remember, somewhere out there a Nigerian Prince has lost his chance to recover his lost fortune. 🙂
