Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I read a good bit of the article. My conclusion is that this "tool" ranks below the label of pseudoscience. It seems to be just made-up criteria with no basis whatsoever in science. I would classify it as fraud and a con game. It does make me wonder at those who so readily embrace it, and whether they also readily embrace religion.

Cops only care about making arrests and DAs only care about getting convictions. They are not too concerned about arresting/convicting the appropriate people as long as they clear cases. This tool could potentially make that easier and even make the process appear to be credible.

@FearlessFly I agree, but our justice system works on the principle of piling on circumstantial evidence, conjecture, outright lies, and hearsay, adding the threat of a long prison sentence based on the judgment of twelve people who aren't smart enough to get out of jury duty, and often convince innocent "suspects" to plea bargain.

@FearlessFly I'm not trying to justify it, or suggest that it's a good reason. I'm just offering my opinion of why it would be attractive to them, it adds to the "evidence" they use to force a defendant to plead out. Cops frequently lie to get false confessions or to intimidate witnesses to testify they way they want. I see this as another potential tool.
Again, don't mistake my opinion as agreement with the use of the bullshit.
