A consideration: this horrible Christian mythology can be traced back to Constantine and his inflicting it on the Romans, otherwise it might have died, like the belief in Zeus. Constantine executed his son and one of his wives--- but Gawwd must have contacted him and told him to do it.

He couldn’t defy his mother. Besides the politics worked well for him.
