An interview of the recently deceased Baba Ram Das that nicely illustrates the Stoic concept of Amor Fati: Don't just casually accept your fate, rather, embrace it, love it, appreciate it. It is all you have, and it is up to you to make a gift of it. (The interview gets a little woo at the end)

Thank you for the good article/interview!
I've always hoped to know him more without reading everything he's written. And I understand how "amor fati" is similar to stoic graceful suffering. I heard about Ram Dass' passing. That reminded me of the time I met him as a child, when he was about thirty-eight. He was super friendly like a big brother and smiled a lot. I sensed absolutely no negativity from him, and liked him immediately. I understand what he says about a stroke giving one freedom to be silent, and to meditate, and not to have to prove anything. I didn't know that he once lived in Tiburon ... in some ways beautiful & isolated like Hana, Maui.
