I’ve listened to this pair for a couple years, until I couldn’t: [parcast.com] -- Cults are fast-evolving mini-religions - and terrifying! I would encourage others to learn about the multitude of Cults, from a safe place.. But honestly, the more I learned ..the less hope I had/ have for humanity

I can agree that cults by common definition tend to be more extreme and have an element of tight control over adherents. But there's really nothing different about cults vs mainstream religion other than that. I came out of garden-variety Christian fundamentalism and look what that has devolved into in the ensuing 25 years -- all-in on the personality cult of one Donald J Trump. I think that's pretty creepy, too.
