Very interesting. There are three active volcanoes in this area. Mt. Adams, Mt. Baker (as seen from our archipelago) and Mt. Rainier. All are active. Also, Mt. St. Helen's is still active. Luckily, the prevailing winds are from the SW so we are somewhat protected from fallout. Still, there are some cities, Puyallup for one, which was built on volcanic eruptions. I wonder if there is any connection between earthquakes and Climate Change. The weight of the glacial ice may be what keeps the land from shifting.

Volcanism will present some problems for some populated areas of the globe.

@Allamanda Yes, I agree ... unfortunately, I'm not sure there will be wide spread agreement initially before hunger ensues.

@Allamanda True, but I remember an eruption in the early 90's (Pinatubo) and we had one of the mildest winters ever in Seattle.

Not very good news.

Well, yes and no. Yes, in that areas where icecaps melt will likely**** see more volcanic eruptions. No, in that a few more erruptions in Antarctica and Greenland is going to affect very few people. On the gripping hand, well yeah, climate and vulcanism have some overlap in a Venndiagram sense, another reason not to mess with climate. 😟

Sounds reasonable, but correlation != causation.
