One of the things that sucks about living in small town South Dakota is that dating apps and web sites are basically useless. All you see on every site are the same 4 or 5 active members and 200 profiles for people who don't even use the service anymore. And the fakes? They couldn't be more obvious if they tried. Most of the time the sites have to go at least 50 miles away in order to find enough active members to place in my suggestions. Bleh!

I think it's probably that way for most rural areas. It's pretty much the same way here too. If I expand my search range then I get guys that are 3.5 hours away to the east or 4 hours away to the west.

Yep. I actually dated one gal from one of the sites that lived about 255 miles away. It was a pain in the butt and at the time I really wasn't as ready for a serious relationship as I thought.

Oh wow, I thought I had it bad, lol. I'm about 1 to 1.5 hours south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and guys up there act like I live in BFE. Seriously, I can get to Shakopee in less time that it takes them to get across town.
