Trump refuses to shake hands with Nancy Pelosi and at the end of his rambling state of the Union, she tears up his speech. Who won and who lost?

I hate to see anyone stoop to mean spirited, juvenile slights but people are talking today a lot more about Pelosi than Trump. She stole his thunder.

Nancy did it with class - something Terror Trump lacks.

I think there are probably better ways for Pelosi to have dealt with his snub, that would have elevated her position.

@ToolGuy
I did (wish he’d shave🙂.
I just don’t feel that this type of one-ups man ship gets us anywhere.
I’m sure Pelosi could have gotten plenty of media coverage, if she wanted to list the points the president made that were factually incorrect.
As large as the chasm is between the two parties right now, I have no idea how we’ll reach a point where we can have meaningful, civil conversations.

Thanks for this. I absolutely would not, did not want anything to do with what would be an obvious another bloviated diatribe from this buffoon. Let someone else get the ulcers, not me. Still, we need to stand up to this imbecile and his lackeys whenever we can. Whatever people may think of her Pelosi is doing a great job at doing just that. Imagine if she had a partner in the Senate. Trump would be toast on a prison food tray.

Neither. The most successful and accomplished politicians, have an ability to disagree with their opposite numbers in other political parties with dignity and courtesy. Disagreement on political policy should not be channeled into personal antagonism and dislike in this way. As President, one should expect Trump to be more dignified and acknowledge the office of Speaker of the House which she holds, and shake hands with Miss Pelosi as a normal courtesy. Miss Pelosi was responding in kind, very publicly, to Trump’s snub. These antics only further lower the dignity of both offices of state.

What's really interesting is how our politics compare to the British. Some of those heated legislators "discussions" put ours to shame.

@ToolGuy which video...I don’t have Facebook...but I answered the question which you posed...which was who won? I answered “neither”. I saw a clip on the news earlier so know what happened.

@ToolGuy I’m getting nothing I’m afraid...just a series of black boxes.

@ToolGuy yes..I actually did get it. I’ve watched it, and assume that Bryan Tyler Cohen is not an unbiased political analyst or is he? He seemed quite partisan towards Miss Pelosi. I think under the circumstances she acted in a much more dignified manner than Trump, and was retaliating in kind, which was my analysis before I heard Cohen’s. I think in her position I may not have been as restrained as she was, so for that I commend her. What did strike me as ludicrous in that clip was the applause at the end of Trump’s speech by the Republican acolytes who looked like programmed robots!
