The only die hard Christians I remember discussing this with said that nature was there for our use. But we must be responsible. Others hadn’t thought of it. Just sheep.

I only skimmed article, because although I'm sure it made some good points, it seems irrelevant to the central issue of Armaggedon.
If it is inevitable (says so right there in Revelations!), why bother?
In fact, destruction of the planet (as it currently exists) is the whole point, and the sooner it's destroyed the better!

Sigh. Any attempt to tie the Big Daddy in the Sky to the urgent need to look better after Planet Earth is a nonsense. I have no time for such confused thinking.

@maturin1919 Did you ever try to have a discussion with a Jehova's Witness? I used to try to play with their heads but they are so conditioned and frankly, stupid, that they immediately close their cognitive receptors and look at their watches.
