@FearlessFly:

One way to get past the press releases is to do a search at www.thunderbolts.info
In the search box near the upper right corner (on my iPad), type higgs and the RETURN key becomes a SEARCH key. I see about six articles about the Large Hadron Collider, three of them dated 2009, 2011 and 2012. The 2009 article has a little humor written by one of the top men at the place.
Particle physicists are in trouble.

EU/Thornhill/T-Bolts Group is not something that I could "buy-into" :

[vice.com]

Is there a law about bigger machines making bigger messes, perhaps in the same way that modern computers can turn out gibberish in much greater quantities than only even 10 years ago?

If not yet named, could we christen it "Yville's Law"?

@anglophone I’ve seen it referred to as Anglo’s Dangling Angle.

@FearlessFly “Buy-into” is an interesting verb. I buy into, accept or believe stories. When I look at or evaluate evidence I’m leaving a door open for further evidence.
I’ve seen the vice.com story before. It’s well researched and written, and partly true.

With only several billions of taxpayers’ money, it can fail the way the Large Hadron Collider has failed.

What? The LHC has failed?

Yes, but you have to get past the press releases to see the story.
