Like many high IQ people with strong androgynous traits, I have to deal with various mental health issues.

I use exercise, meditation and positive affirmations to mitigate depression and OCD tendencies, but it has temporary effects, and takes dedicated effort.

I've been taking high THC Indica cannabis oil to stop pain and kill cancer cells for years, but I would become so fearful at the hospital, a nurse suggested I also take sativa cannabis oil, because of its reputation for stopping anxiety.

So I recently added a quarter dropper of sativa cannabis oil to my regimen.
Indica cannabis oil only makes me feel sleepy, dopey, and uncoordinated, since it blocks certain muscle signals. There is none of that giddiness, munchies, or giggling you see on TV when people smoke joints, and I've never smoked anything in my life.

But taking even a 1/4 dropper of sativa oil after taking Indica cannabis oil, restores much of my muscle control, and clears my mind.

Immediately, the inner voices of panic, accusation, second-guessing, worry, etc., fade into the background so I can barely hear them.

I become detached and amused instead of feeling frustrated over life's setbacks, thinking, "In 100 years, how much will it matter?" Then I calmly solve the problems, without a fuss.

Unfortunately, sativa cannabis oil also blocks the effectiveness of pain killers, as I found out the hard way, so I have to stop taking it for at least a day before a paracentesis appointment.

Another natural herb that stops anxiety and depression and is legal everywhere, is the Thai muscle relaxer herb, derris scandens, which you can get in either capsule or power form on Amazon.

Online US medical reviews say it is safe for seniors to take long term, but they only seem to think it useful for back pain.

Adding derris scandens to the Indica cannabis oil I already take seems to double its effectiveness.
In my case, the derris scandens also sharpens memory and eyesight, and relieves gender dysphoria and dyslexia symptoms, since I consider myself nonbinary.

But that could be a reaction unique to my hormonal profile, since I've not heard anyone else mention this serendipitous effect.

That was a very detailed explanation of the contrasting physical & mental effects of indica vs. sativa. To top that off, the introduction to "the Thai muscle relaxer herb, derris scandens. Thanks for sharing the good info.

This agnostic forum has high percentages of androgynous people who have these issues. Most are unaware they are different from other women, since most still buy into the Christian gender binary, and think that since they are "women" that everything they experience applies to all women.

These most extreme ones often hysterically object to anything I say about gender brain and behavior differences..claiming that "gender" is only a social construct.
They are mostly unaware that typical, cis, hetero women don't have these mental issues, and are nothing like them.

@birdingnut My guess would be the androgynous would not be hysterical, as long as they know they are not binary. If they know that about themselves they are more likely to know that their issues are not typical cisgender women's issues. I guess I'm wrong when I assume the androgynous are the general exception and know that. The topic is confusing me I guess.

@AnonySchmoose You'd think that. When I first joined, I started blocking hysterical feminists who invariably attacked me the moment I implied that people are on a gender sliding scale. After a year, I'm no longer attacked, because the aggressive ones have been BLOCKED, lol!

I keep thinking that Americans have become more self-aware but not all women read anything at all or even watch the news, except for Conservative propaganda machine, Fox News. I was spoiled from living eight years in Thailand, where Thai Buddhism accepts a Third gender, and all forms of gender presentation are accepted.

@birdingnut When I first joined, I did run into a few hysterical feminists. I blocked them too, rather than be drawn into venom and self-hatred. If necessary, I guess I'm an eco-feminist, but I certainly do not believe in being aggressive about it -- merely informative to a point.
