When I was younger I thought Madalyn Murray O Hair was the meanest and most evil person in America due to her atheism.

I saw her mentioned on here and decided to watch some debates with her. What I saw now is a very strong and rational woman who made great arguments. I asked myself how I could have ever seen her as evil.

I believe as a Christian I had to reject her rational arguments by just dismissing her as evil. Since she was evil then whatever she says don’t matter.

I think most Christians are like that. When they are cornered by facts they just dismiss that person

She was very much maligned by the media, and was portrayed as mean and angry. She didn't have the smiley friendly face and demeanor to attract the opposition to her point of view, so portraying her as evil was easy for the media to do. But when you listen to what she was saying, it really made sense. The more recent spokespeople for her cause seem to be a little softer around the edges, but still strong and direct in the message.

When I watched video of her I didn’t see the mean women that I had remembered. I actually thought she was much more friendly than I remembered. Very smart and very strong. Just kept pounding facts after facts

I would suppose that the Main Stream Media needs to maintain the "angry atheist" caricature. As they really do not delve very deep into anything. Just the headlines Ma'am !...just the caricatures.

They also need to serve their corporate/ religious masters as ....again...repeat after me..."There is no Liberal anti religion Main Stream Media"......Leave that pile of bullshit at the church door

The reality is all religions are based upon evil and dominance use as a control device!

Fear is usually born from some form of hate or jealousy of what others have or obtained spiritually!!!

Just a wild guess!!!
