He apparently has little respect for honesty. This is not "negative minutiae" - it's symptomatic of a much more serious underlying attitude.

@Robecology -I don't think people should be disrespectful of each other, and I am not a Trump fan.., However. The reality is...Trump is 24 years older than his wife. If you have ever been in a relationship with a difference in age like that 1)there is a different interpretation of what is respect and differences in appearance to what is going on to an outsider and interpersonaly between them. 2) with the difference in age mentality there are different thoughts and agendas on the mind at every instance 3) The tendency of the older person is to move on and ignore and "let them be if they are going to be like that". 4) The younger thought is to rebel as the older is always telling them what to do, what they know best ( which has truth to it as the elders are more experienced). So if melania got left behind...she got left behind. she is strong minded and she is going to do what she do . nobody was there to hear him say, now honey, I want to look good, lets walk out together like a loving couple, and she said ,I want that brand new car if you want me to do that5) Trump is not like the bush's and the clintons of putting on airs and being presentable using decorum. He obviously has no problem being who he is and saying the things he says without his white house personnel filtering. wasn't there a president who beat his wife behind closed door? but in public he was the perfect guy?... Bottom line is, it is his personal business, and we don't know the whole story. What comes out of his mouth comes out of his mouth and I'm pretty sure that is how he is back and front. and not some monster behind closed door which one thing worse than a monster is a deceitful monster behind closed doors.. This might be offense to some, but I am not intending to be offensive. I"m looking at it from a realistic point of view. it is what it is

I think it's delightful that he found himself such a beautiful, much younger woman for his wife. I do admire him for that.

It's the way he's treated her in public that make me embarrassed for her. I sincerely hope she gets out of the relationship....but if you're strikingly beautiful you tend to favor wealthy older men....so she's made her bed. I wish her well...but it's obvious that he's rude and disrespectful to her...and a president just shouldn't behave that way.

Melania knew what she was getting herself into.so YEP-->. she made her bed...she can lie in it or get out. As for trump..if he harasses korea enough to send ballistic missles to Hawaii or pays the Russian government to fix ballots...then that is when we need to be concerned about.
