Way prior to his run for office, Melania had been interviewed about how she proudly pursued him. And she's told of how, when she got pregnant and they had agreed no children, he finally agreed as long as her figure returned to what it was pre-pregnancy. She's negotiated her terms all along. I think people keep trying to apply their moral standards to their situation, but it doesn't apply.

This quote, if accurate, is telling. Maybe it's time that people stop viewing Melania as a victim? What if a deal was struck? The Donald, ever the playboy, has a model as his trophy wife, while she has access to a lifestyle unattainable in Slovenia, and can easily get her parents into this country--remember chain migration?

Just like we create lousy heroes, we have fucked up perceptions of values and the right and the wrong.

All of this ok and we can live with aspirations that different people have. Men have trophy wives, women can love money, a good life and can be gold diggers, some are ambulance chasers and some are grave diggers. But what is the problem? If it does not fit your values, you do not do it. It takes talent to be all that.

Melania has been very intelligent to be a model, cross seas to compete on the world stage, be noticed, catch an eye of a successful man and reach the White House. Millions of women around the world must be envying her every day. We often give her grief and bad press just because she is Trump's wife. WTF? Does she care? After she leaves the White House, she will be in the history books and will have shaken hands with more leaders around the world than of all of her critics combined.

We have no right on who should do what and condescend on them. Melania can be a gold digger if she wants to be and that is honorable too. It is a thousand times better than flipping burgers in McDonalds or being a secretary flipping files or typing letters all your life. A very very few can be Melania Trump. Give her some respect.
