The saying goes "Every cloud has a silver lining."
This is even true of the Covid-19 Coronavirus. It is cutting air-travel significantly, and so although it is killing vulnerable people it is saving the planet by reducing CO2 levels.

Eliminating 2% of the human population will probably cut down in CO2 levels also.

@OwlInASack Why devastating? Economies grow out of hand by relying on inflation, which is another way of saying "let the future pay for it."
Ultimately, such a system has to collapse. Sooner or later something will trigger collapses. Why not add Coronavirus to the list of such triggers?

@OwlInASack At my age, and with creeping cancer of my immune system, I'm lucky.
I may not have to be amongst the 98% of mourners. 😋🤣🤣😂

that saying is dumb. Why try to find silver linings in devastating occurences anyways?? sometimes things are shit and it is okay to acknowledge they are just shit.... the various genocides throughout history including the nazi one, comes to mind.

Not really sure how popular of an opinion this will be here, but I've never really been a fan of human beings. The Earth however gets my vote. And the human race as a whole, seems primarily, to need a lot less humans. Cynical, I know.

@OwlInASack well said (just insert 46 instead of 48)

@OwlInASack hmmm apparently the number eight and close parentheses is animoji, hah

@OwlInASack you & I, owl, need to start carrying clubs & using them! At least that's how I increasingly feel
