I think the most interesting part is the mitochondrial DNA from the homo erectus group they are mentioning. It was reliably tracked to be so many generations less changed than in later versions of homo erectus and later hominids from that lineage. This means superarchaic DNA sequences and the potential for some rather exotic genetic variety. This evidence makes me seriously reconsider the possibility that giants and snake people actually did exist in ancient northern asia as the mythos proclaims. ANd in other places as well.
