Circumcision unless medically necessary (really rare) should be done at adulthood (by choice).It's a barbaric practice that's totally unnecessary.

It has nothing to do with gender reassignment however.

So people whose gender is wrong should be forced to wait until they are 16 yo to make any changes towards sexual reassignment?
I call complete bullshit.

Way more good can be done by allowing kids to begin reassignment far earlier than that so that puberty hormones don't establish more gender 'wrongness' to their bodies.

Just imagine for a few minutes being your current gender but being forced to live in the wrong body.

And this advocates making them wait LONGER?! Criminal!
And about what I expect from Fox news. (Not in the least bit science driven).

Also 'puberty blockers'? Aren't a thing. Hormone blockers are a thing.

You are conflating three different issues..

There is no conflation. The statement can be made about each issue independently.

@PBuck0145 FGM should be banned, I agree with that but gender reassignment is a personal choice and should not be banned... Circumcision is also a choice, usually religious but I won't get into that...

@Cutiebeauty Gender reassignment is indeed a personal choice, but needs to be restricted to well informed adults. It can cause changes which are irreversible and regrettable.
