Every day many hours per day religious radio talk show hosts brand Feminism Atheism and liberalism "is a mental disorder." Your point is well taken that many religious people compartmentalize their beliefs shifting in and out of their faith lifestyles to conduct business jobs or personal maintenance like fixing meals or doing laundry not instructed by bibles or preachers. But the least little crisis like forgetting car keys or the death of a distant old friend sets believers into psychotic behaviors momentarily if not for days. I applaud your empathy and support you have given to religious patients. Your respect towards religious coworkers is noble and makes social order functional. Nonetheless; religious persons are dysfunctional enabling great evils upon others and often leads to self harm. The poster may have blathered out the words: mental disorder and psychosis without training or competence but I concur that delusions are much more than wrong beliefs learned from a con man. Cults have murdered billions of people in human history. I will always declare that religion was invented by the 1st shamans to rape women and brainwash boys into deadly raids upon neighboring tribes.

I have mental health issues and it makes me very angry when people use mental health as an insult to call people they disagree with mentally inferior.

There are many conditions that affect many people who are and are not religious. There is a difference in having a brain based disorder like bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD or anxiety than believing what you were taught in your culture.
