Ponder this ...As Jung says: the ego is like a cork on the ocean where the ocean refers to the personal subconscious and collective unconscious. Meditate for a while on the following verse: it is by the dying of self, we gain eternal life. By creating loving, deep connections with others, we will continue living.
How do you personally promote this concept?

“If we take eternity to mean not infinite temporal duration but timelessness, then eternal life belongs to those who live in the present.”

"the dying of self"? How do I promote this concept? This is metaphysical happy talk. I don't promote what I don't believe.

"If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?" RuPaul.

I disagree. Even an unlovable person can love. That's like saying that a person with no artistic talent can't appreciate art.

@BitFlipper you are not reading it correctly! You Must love yourself first, therefore "unlovable" wouldn't exist because somebody (YOU) would love you

What's the full reference? I would like to read it in context.

I would not personally promote either concept. The first one is pretty meaningless and the second one presumes that eternal life would be a desirable outcome. The outcome I seek in connecting with others is the connection, itself.
