From my friend Jim, with whom I often agree. What do you think?

“My current analysis, if anybody cares, regarding the US election primaries. At this point, I see that the DNC, being fearful of a Bernie win, has arranged for their losers to send their support to Biden. That in itself should be illegal. Anyone but Bernie has been their motto since 2016. Why would they pursue this route again, you ask, when Bernie would probably win by a landslide against Trump? In a debate with Trump, on any subject, Bernie would wipe the floor with him whereas, Trump would crush addle-brained Biden, even assuming that his dementia did not progress from this point. So, as of today, March 4, 2020, with a Bernie win, I would give Trump a 40% chance of winning but with a Biden win, Trump gets 80%.“

I don't think Bernie could win against Trump. Not because Bernie isnt more intelligent by a long way, he is. Not because Bernie isnt charismatic, he is.

But even he could not withstand the on-slaight of name calling, misinformation, and lies the Republicans would heap on him. At some point, the irrational fear mongers control the room because they are louder, more vociferous, and pander to peoples fears. The ensuing noise would dissuade many voters, even with another 4 years of Trump as a liklihood.

I agree with you, Bernie would beat Trump but, once again, we will never find out since he's screwed again by the Dem party. I have offered bets to three people who are centrist Dem friends that Biden will lose to Trump, but they won't take the bet. They know Biden will lose, but can't bring themselves to admit Bernie would win against Trump or say they would vote for him. I am willing to bet each of them $25, which they can easily afford, but they won't bet me...
