Not likely at all. He still has to get the nomination. He won states he didn't campaign in - but Bloomberg did. Bloomberg's ads are always running against trump, not other "dems". Joe pivoted to the same tactic just a short time ago. So while he didn't spread the message he probably benefited tremendously from it once Pete and Amy jumped out.
Dunno how much Mike spent in the next round of states and my wife just told me Joe had another stupid gaff.
Sigh
The gaff of confusing his sister with the wife? LOL
I think Biden is still very vulnerable to gaffs and he can implode. That is why Warren should be in play
@seenoevil9620
Yes, he did. But now the race is between Biden and Bernie.
Not going to happen. Theyll reward another member of the dem party machine. Theres a very good chance that person will be the de facto president, if not the actual president, in a year or two, and the dems will pick someone with a track record. Not of doing a good job, but of obeying and playing the game.
These choices for Biden are in the press:
A democratic candidate needs the South. I think he is likely to pick a white candidate from the South.
@St-Sinner has doing well enough on his own, I kinda think itll be someone from the midwest. Klobuchar springs to mind, but who knows. My logic and the logic of the dems, rarely line up. They are so incredibly bad at picking candidates.
@Bierbasstard good point but looking at anything post-JFK as the "modern era", theyve been hot to compete for that title.
@Bierbasstard
It is hard to beat McCain's Palin choice. It must be the world's classic self-goal.
I have done pretty good help for Biden by beating down on Bernie. That's why Bernie is losing. I think Biden should pick me.
@St-Sinner but would you sell your soul for corporate donors?
Sell my soul?
An old friend called French President Charles de Gaulle and said.... "Mr. President, please do this for me. I am an old friend and you know we go back many years." Charles de Gaulle said.... "Dear, there are no friends in politics. Only alliances."
Similarly, I have no soul in this. I am only looking for a winning horse on the Democrats side. I only see ponies so far.
Bernie has no soul either. He is running for his personal ambition to become president. It is about him. He thinks he can help Americans only by becoming president himself at the age of 78 and after a heart attack. Only a selfish fool would think like that. If he really had a soul to have wanted free healthcare and college for Americans, he would have done something better than just staying in office in the Senate for 30 years. He could have started a think tanks, gone around the country to educate Americans, support young candidates and get out the senate once in 30 long years. This campaign is all about Bernie becoming president. He is playing with your emotions.
The U.S. presidential elections are not about the soul or emotions. It is a game. You need tactics, alliances, dirty tricks, money, tearing down others, optics, perceptions, fake news, media blitz, character assassinations, lying etc. The better you play the game the better are your chances. Nice guys finish last here. Guys with a soul are left crying in a corner in the end.
@St-Sinner so another words, you would. I'm not arguing you're wrong about how actual politics works, but the DNC isnt going to support any candidate who thinks theres such a thing as moral supremacy.
@MarkiusMahamius
I am not defending the DNC but for the sake of reality, let's think what we are up against. It is not a battle of idealisms. It is of candidates. The man with the right perceptions is going win.
