Corona virus- we won't get real action till someone in govt comes down with it.
Containment has obviously been an abject failure, and it is unrealistic to expect casual workers to self-isolate for 2 weeks.With incidence doubling every 5 days,this invisible little bug is a bigger threat than anyone's army!
What can we do -other than head for the hills and live a hermits life?

Must be a plot by the Democrats!!!!
In the absence of immunization and testing, and considering the virulence of this pathogen, I think it's reasonable to expect that nearly all of us will be exposed. For me, the key will be to survive when it hits me.

good question- one thing for Australian Govt- forget your obsession with achieving a budget surplus , and give financial support to workers asked to stay home in "self-isolation", make testing readily available and free, cancel or reduce large gatherings of people, encourage regular hand washing or use of alcoholic hand sterilising agents, allow doctors to get a medicare fee for telephone or video triage
