My absolute favorite movie scene of all time. Gregory Peck earned every bit of his Oscar, but Mary Badham matches him step for step as Scout. It's one of those rare films that comes close to perfection. ALL the performances are spot-on. the script is great, the score by Elmer Bernstein is one of the best and it leaves me feeling warm and happy at the end.

It’s a great book too...of course, all credit to Harper Lee.

Have you read Harper's other book, Go Set A Watchman? It takes place years after the events of Mockingbird, but she wrote it years before. Apparently Harper's father was pretty dang racist in real life but believed in doing his job. Her publisher made her leave out the racist stuff.

@JayOleck38 No...haven’t read it.
